Event Introduction
City guide Juhani Styrman will lead a tour in the Alppila neighbourhood. The tour will start in Josafatinkatu at 15:00, go through Lenininpuisto and Savonkatu parks and on to the schoolyard of the Alppila upper secondary school at Viipurinkatu 21.
The event will continue with music in the schoolyard:
Trio Ritva Koskensuu will perform poems about local life composed by Caj Chydenius at about 17:00, followed by
Kaskelotti at18:00.
At 18:00, Alppila Basket will teach children and young people how to play basketball.
There will be a barbecue, weather permitting, and if it rains, music will be performed in the school lobby.
