XXVI Sång- och musikfesten: Grand choir and orchestra in front of Oodi Library
Event Introduction
During the day, there is a unique opportunity to experience a massive choir and orchestra rehearsal, as 1,800 choristers and instrumentalists alongside 15 conductors perform together from a choir and orchestra podium under the vaulted roof of the Oodi Central Library from 12:00 to 16:00. This will be followed by a powerful wind orchestra concert from 16:30 to 17:30. The highlight of the evening is the opening concert from 18:00 to 19:00, featuring the most beautiful a cappella choral songs performed by the assembled Finland-Swedish women’s, men’s, and mixed choirs.
