Seurasaarifolk
Event Introduction
This year’s theme for folk dance and folk music activities is to play ‘from one’s own head’, and this theme is also the inspiration for the Helsinki Day event on Seurasaari Island. The quote from Teppo Repo will encourage folk dancers to improvise and create something completely new in the spirit of tradition. The performers will include several folk dance groups from different parts of the city.
