Open day and guided public tours at Uspenski Cathedral on Helsinki Day
Event Introduction
Uspenski Cathedral joins the celebration of Helsinki’s birthday!
The cathedral will host open doors from 10 am to 6 pm, during which admission to the cathedral is free. There will also be 30-minute guided public tours on the cathedral’s history and artifacts in Finnish, Swedish, and English.

The event is accessible with a wheelchair.
The event does not have an accessible toilet.
Access to Uspenski Cathedral is via Rahapajankatu to the front yard parking area.
The parking space for people with disabilities is located on the upper level, which is accessed via the Pormestarinrinne emergency access ramp. This route is also used to reach the cathedral's wheelchair stair lift, located at the church's western door on the Market Square side.
The stair lift enables wheelchair users to access the church hall with their assistant. The weight limit for the lift is 225 kg. Please contact the church verger if you wish to use the lift. There is also a doorbell at the entrance.
An accessible toilet is located in the Uspenski crypt, which can be accessed via its own stair lift.
The inner door of the bell tower displays an induction loop sign and a diagram of the coverage area.
