Event Introduction
On Helsinki Day, the chamber of the Burgher’s House will be full of laughter — or not — as the audience will be treated to some truly old jokes and riddles from the 19th century. Humour is a reflection of its time, and some of the jokes may be difficult for modern audiences to grasp, while others deal with universal human experiences and still make us laugh.
