Event Introduction

The workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive and immersive experience in street photography. It aims to cultivate a sense of communication and learning among the participants while exploring the vibrant areas of Helsinki.

The workshop will begin promptly at 16.00, where all participants will gather at a designated meeting point in Kamppi. The facilitator will introduce themselves and create a welcoming environment for everyone to get to know each other. This introduction will also include an overview of the workshop’s objectives and the concept of street photography.

Once the introductions are complete, the group will embark on a guided photo walk through the bustling streets of Helsinki. The facilitator will provide insights, tips, and techniques along the way to help participants capture compelling and meaningful photographs. There will be opportunities for participants to ask questions, seek guidance, and share their experiences throughout the walk.

During the photo walk, there will be occasional breaks to allow participants to rest, recharge, and reflect on their photography journey. These breaks also provide an opportunity for the facilitator to address any specific topics or challenges raised by the participants.

At the end of the workshop, the group will reconvene at a pre-arranged coffee shop. This cozy and comfortable setting will serve as a space for participants to relax, socialize, and engage in a constructive dialogue about their captured images. Each participant will have the chance to showcase their best photos from the walk, and the group will offer feedback, insights, and appreciation for each other’s work.

The workshop aims to create a transformative experience for participants, encouraging them to develop their creative vision, refine their technical skills, and explore the unique stories that unfold in the streets. It provides a supportive and collaborative environment where participants can learn from the facilitator and from each other, fostering personal growth and artistic development.

By the end of the workshop, participants will not only have a collection of captivating photographs but also a deeper understanding of street photography as a means of self-expression and storytelling.

Remember, it does not matter if you have a high-end camera or just a mobile phone; the key focus of this workshop is to develop your observation skills and be fully present in the moment.
