Register your event for Helsinki Day!

1. Read the City of Helsinki’s event organizing guidelines here.

2. Plan your event responsibly.

4. Check your event details
Event details can be updated until June 11. Organizers of events registered after May 12 are responsible for translations (Finnish, Swedish, English). Events registered before this may be featured in social media and press releases.

5. Apply for production grant by March 31, 2025
Grant can be applied for between March 3–31, 2025 (100–4000 euros per event). Eligible costs:
– Infrastructure
– Material costs
– Performer fees

Marketing costs are not covered. Decisions announced by April 23.

In the registration form, the desired amount of production grant must be specified, and an event production plan along with a cost structure must be presented. The production grant is granted as part of the event’s budget. The requested production grant cannot cover the entire cost of the event.

A panel consisting of various Helsinki residents will decide on the recipients of the production grant and notify applicants of their decisions by April 23. When making decisions, the panel considers the diversity of the program, the distribution of events across different parts of the city, responsibility, accessibility, and innovative content. The panel determines the granted amount. Agreements are made with those receiving production grant, and event organizers invoice the Helsinki Events Foundation accordingly.
