The sun show

Image: Ursa

Event Introduction

The sun show invites attendees to watch phenomena on the surface of our home star, such as sunspots and solar flares, through the observatorys telescopes. The sun is at the maximum point of activity in an 11-year cycle, so there are plenty of phenomena to see.

The show is free of charge, and the observatory can be visited at any time during the opening hours. The observatory will remain open in the event of cloudy weather, but in the case of rain, the show will be cancelled. If the view is obscured by cloudy weather, visitors will instead be invited to ask questions about the sun and other celestial bodies as well as phenomena in the night sky.
