Event Introduction

PRICE OF FREEDOM photo exhibition

The Ukrainian Association in Finland’s photo exhibition in the Helsinki Central railway station 11.6.–2.7.2022

Ukrainians are paying a huge price for their freedom. Paying with lives of the defenders and civilians, ruined homes, separation from the loved ones, pain and suffering. The Price of Freedom exhibition will reveal those tragedies brought by the Russian invasion. The images tell visual stories about war realities, about grief and losses, but also about mutual help, sacrifice, and resistance of the Ukrainian people.

The exhibition will also include contrasting pictures of Ukraine before the invasion – just to show how easily peaceful life in a beautiful European country can be ruined by a war of aggression.

The exhibition opening is on Saturday 11.6. at 14.00. The opening speech will be given by the exhibition’s curator Nadiia Fedorova. Welcome!
