The Opening of Hanasaari
Event Introduction
The Hanasaari power plant is a familiar landmark in the eastern part of Helsinki city centre. The previously closed industrial area will be opened to the public on Helsinki Day. The opening celebration will feature a wide range of activities for city residents of all ages. Participants can look forward to music, dancing, food and a sauna.

10:00 AM: Guided public tours of the power plant begin

3:00 PM: The event square program begins, food trucks open, and sauna sessions start in the old staff building

3:30 PM: Mayor Daniel Sazonov welcomes the citizens

3:45 PM–6:00 PM: Urban pavilion dancing sets the rhythm for the afternoon

6:00 PM–7:00 PM: DJ duo Paha Vaanii plays

7:00 PM–8:00 PM: Performance by Grande Mahogany
