Event Introduction

Welcome to the Näkymä Film Festival at the Luuppi Youth Activity Centre in Kontula on the eve of Helsinki Day on 11 June 2022!

Näkymä Film Festival is a one-day, free-of-charge festival of political and societal film for the young people of Helsinki. Since societal and political discussion affects all of us in some way, we decided to start the Näkymä Film Festival with the aim of offering young people a low threshold and safe space for looking into various worlds with the means of film.

All young people from Helsinki are welcome, and if there is room, older ones, too. The maximum capacity of each screening is about 120 persons. You can come alone or with friends, and see one film or all of them if you want to! The event is free of alcohol and drugs and all kinds of discrimination, bullying, disturbances and disruptive behaviour.
