Let’s clean the backwaters! – collecting underwater litter and rubbish on the shores

Event Introduction

Come and see what lies under the water and join the cleaning event! Equipment will be available on site. There will be a programme suitable for everyone, and the citys Seagull mascot will also visit the site. Participants will hear about research on littering. An exhibition of the litter retrieved from under the water on the day will be on display at the event.

The public event will take place on the west shore of the backwater, in the northern part of the Verkatehdas Park, which is marked in green on the map. Experts will collect litter from under the water in the areas marked in red from 10:00 to 17:00.
