Villa Salmela 140 and the Helsinki Karelian of the Year
The Karelian Summer Home Villa Salmela – occasionally also known as Villa Bergsund – celebrates its 140th anniversary this year. On Helsinki Day, historian and non-fiction author Jan Strang will arrive to shed light on the history of Villa Salmela and the villas of East Helsinki.
For the second time, the Pääsky association will name the “Stadin Karjalainen” (the Helsinki Karelian of the Year). But who will it be?
