Event Introduction

Join us on a guided walking tour of Mustasaari Island to explore the island’s colourful history and stunning scenery. The tours start outside the main building and take approximately 45 minutes.

Mustasaari Island is accessed by a ferry from Taivallahti in Töölö (Hiekkarannantie 3). The island is not accessible by land or air. See our website for more details about the ferry timetable, prices and services on the island.

The ferry to Mustasaari Island is wheelchair accessible. There are ramps to the jetty in Taivallahti as well as onto and off the ferry. The crew on board the ferry are also on hand to assist with embarking and disembarking. Most of the roads on the island are wheelchair friendly and there are no steps. There are two accessible toilets on the island.
