Company Portmanteau: open rehearsal of ‘Series of’
Event Introduction
‘Series of’, a contemporary concert-like circus act by tightwire dancer Mira Ravald and musician Antonio Alemanno, blurs the lines between movement and sound. The performance transforms a tight wire into a musical instrument that resonates in response to balance point and physical contact, combining it with the sounds of a cello and electronics. Live music, circus, dance and soundscape intertwine, creating a dialogue through which movement and music emerge from one another.
