Celebrate Helsinki Day at Amos Rex
Event Introduction
To mark Helsinki Day, Amos Rex is offering free admission and extended opening hours until 10pm.
The museum’s main exhibition, Generation 2026, presents a compelling snapshot of a new generation of creative young people, many of whom are exhibiting their work publicly for the first time. Now in its fourth edition, the Generation triennial brings together 50 artists and collectives to explore some of today’s most pressing social issues.
Visitors can also explore SS26 SPACE by Minttu Vesala, a curated sales gallery at Amos Rex Shop showcasing selected fashion pieces and obscure objects by Finnish brands and designers.
As part of the celebrations, the museum’s summer exhibition opens at Lasipalatsi Square. Dansbana! is a public art installation and open invitation to dance. Created by Swedish architects Anna Fridolin, Anna Pang and Teres Selberg, the installation combines the forms of traditional dance pavilions with the monumental scale of Amos Rex, creating a site-specific artwork where everyone is welcome to dance, practise or perform.
