Shared experiences for the whole family at Kustaankartano’s Helsinki Day

A diverse and family-friendly Helsinki Day celebration will take place in the lush surroundings of Kustaankartano on Thursday, June 12 from 2 PM to 6 PM. The event features live music, engaging workshops, circus characters and a vibrant festival atmosphere for all ages.
Live music:
– 2–2:30 PM: Hiipakka & Ahlbeck
This folk duo takes the audience on a journey through Finnish folk nostalgia and the rhythms of contemporary folk music.
– 3–3:45 PM: The Summer Icebreaker
A band from Oulunkylä playing beloved classics from the 60s to the 80s.
– 4–4:30 PM: Jamkids
An energetic and participatory children’s music session where kids get to sing and play music together with Jamkids music teachers.
– 5–6 PM: LIKKA
A lively and entertaining party band playing everything from the latest radio hits to well-known classics.
TEKLA Innovation Container
The TEKLA Innovation Container is a mobile learning environment where visitors can explore the latest innovations in learning through immersive, tech-themed workshops. In the “Collision with a Meteorite” workshop, participants will get hands-on with programmable tools in a fun and exciting way. The workshop is suitable for all ages and requires no prior knowledge.
Workshop times: 2:00, 2:45, 3:30, 4:15, and 5:00 PM (duration 30 min)
